The Private Sourdough Workshop

An Artisan Gluten-Free Experience

The all things gf sourdough class is now more than just a class - it’s a gathering.

  • Transform your kitchen into a boutique bakery for a few hours. My most requested class is now available in your own home—perfect for birthdays, girls' nights, brunches, or just mastering a new skill with your fam or friends. Minimum is 3 persons per class.

    1. Pick a date & invite your friends.

    2. Fill out the form to request the date.

    3. Once confirmed- yay - I’ll set up a link for payment for your group. Each person can pay separately.

    4. I meet the host to visualize the space.

    5. I arrive with everything needed for the perfect bake.

    6. You score, mix, chat, and learn while the kitchen fills with the scent of fresh sourdough. Yum!

    • The Fresh Bake. A gorgeous, fully-baked loaf from our class—ready to slice and enjoy once it's cooled.

    • The Take-Home Dough. A second loaf that you mixed and shaped yourself, ready for your own oven.

    • The "Sourdough Baby." Your own live GF sourdough starter with my "keep it simple" maintenance instructions.

    • The Manual. My NEW All Things Gluten-Free Sourdough guidebook (printed) covering everything from starter to finish.

Private Gluten-Free Workshops in Gig Harbor

Most of my favorite memories while baking were made with friends and family. There’s a specific kind of energy in a kitchen filled with the scent of fresh bread, a great playlist, and the focus of friends or family gathered around a flour-dusted counter. Transform your space into a boutique bakery for the afternoon. It’s a 'girls' night in' or a 'baking brunch' where the centerpiece isn’t just a cheese board, but the intentional process of artisan gluten-free sourdough rising in your own oven.

I’ll bring the starter and the expertise; you bring the oven and your favorite people.

What you’ll need - a host with an oven that can reach 475°, friends or fam. I provide the tools and the flour; you provide a clear counter and your favorite apron.

Upcoming Date(s) Available

Yes! This is gf sourdough starter and yours can look like this too!

What to expect at your gathering

  • I’ll arrive 30 min early to set up and get the space ready.

  • Once your favorite people have gathered, we’ll start by scoring and loading the pre-proofed loaves into the oven. The kitchen will be filled with the scent of fresh bread before we even start mixing!

  • Follow along in the workshop with a FREE printed copy of my "All Things Gluten-Free Sourdough Guidebook."

It’s a complete, step-by-step manual featuring my newly refined recipe (using flours you can easily find!) and professional tips. I’ve even included a dedicated section in the back for your own notes and observations, so you can track your journey from your very first sourdough class to your 100th loaf at home.

  • While the loaves bake, we’ll get to know your live starters or “mother”. I’ll show you my keep it simple maintenance routine and we’ll get those feeding reminders right into your phone calendars.

  • This is the fun part. We’ll mix your take-home doughs together, talking through my newly improved recipe and why these accessible ingredients make all the difference for a perfect rise.

  • We’ll pull the hot loaves from the oven together. You’ll learn how to "read" the crust and the crumb, and I’ll explain why the hardest part of the day is waiting a couple of hours for that loaf to set before you slice in.

  • My goal is to leave your kitchen exactly as I found it. I handle the flour dusting and any mess so you can stay focused on the company.

What you leave with

Includes my newly refined, foolproof recipe using easily accessible flours—so you can recreate handcrafted loaves in your own kitchen anytime.

The Experience

  • The Simplified Approach: Forget the complex ratios and the "sourdough stress." We’re breaking down the science of gluten-free baking into a rhythmic, tactile process that actually makes sense.

  • Kitchen Chemistry: We’ll explore how accessible flours and wild yeast play together to create that perfect artisan crust—no lab coat required, just your favorite apron.

  • Hands-On Connection: This isn't a demonstration; it's a shared craft. You’ll get your hands in the dough, learning the "feel" of a successful bake so you can recreate it with confidence.

Your Sourdough Kit

  • The Double Bake: One gorgeous loaf ready to slice now, and a second one you've prepped to bake fresh in your own oven that day or the next morning.

  • The "Sourdough Baby": Your own live, active starter with a "keep it simple" feeding schedule that fits into your real life.

  • The "All Things" Guidebook: A physical manual featuring my newly refined recipe. I’ve left plenty of room in the back for your own notes, observations, and "aha!" moments.

  • The "Why" Behind the Bake: You’ll leave understanding the how and why of GF sourdough, so you never have to guess at a recipe again.
